INSPITE OF HAVING 170 MILLIONS RUPEES FUNDS FROM GOVERNMENT THEY ARE STILL EXTORTING PEOPLE FOR MONEY SHOWS THAT THEY HAVE ONE THING IN THE FRONT AND DOING SOMETHING ELSE IN THE BACK AND THEY MIGHT COME BACK WITH MORE VIOLENT ACTIVITY. SO WE ALL PEACE LOVERS NEED TO BE ALERT INCLUDING THE GOVERNMENT. WHATS GOING ON HERE???????????
Maoists continuing extortion despite receiving govt fund: Finance Minister

Finance Minister Dr Ram Saran Mahat today accused the Maoists of continuing extortion across the country even as the government has already released budget for the upkeep of their army.
“Despite receiving government fund, the Maoists have not ceased extortion. This will not do any good to them anyway,” Mahat said addressing a gathering of Nepali Congress party workers in Bharatpur, Chitwan, on Saturday.
He also revealed that the local law enforcement agencies have been directed to act tough against the donation drive and other forceful activities of the Maoists.
Rs 170 million budget has already been released to the Maoists for the management their military camps and the government has been working to identify sources for more funding to the Maoist army, the Finance Minister said. nepalnews.com mk Dec 09 06
