I represent a small nonprofit company called Free Nepal, Inc. based in New York which is dedicated to human rights, non-violence and education. One of the things we are trying to do is to make it easier to international students (starting with Nepali students) in the United States.

We are trying to buy a volume license from Cintax which can either distribute for a small fee or may be provide free to members.

What do you think? What is a fair price for non-members? Is $25 a good price? And what would be a good price for membership? Is $45 a year a good price?

We are also in contact with BlueCross BlueShield to create a health insurance policy for our members. Would you be interested? How much would you be willing to pay for it? An average American pays about $2100 for health insurance a year. Would you be interested in a plan that cost you $1000-$1500?

Is this for students only or professionals too? Can you elaborate in detail ? It looks nice idea unless somebody pulls your leg (nepali kaida). Be careful and good luck for the project.

Free Nepal, Inc. in its Certificate of Incorporation filed to the Department of State says "support students from developing countries during their stay in other countries for education".

So directly we can only provide this to international students in the United States. This is true if you are not a member of Free Nepal, we can give your membership benefits once you join.

The only problem is, the membership might cost about $45 - $75 (what would be a fair price? please suggest) per year. So you might think it's not worth it.

For students that can prove full time enrollment, we can prove these services without membership.

If you are interested in it please let me know. We will need to buy at least 50 licenses so, we need people to commit that they are interested.

Since this is a new organization, we have not yet been able to raise funds. So, we are planning to collect money from within (the 3 founders) to pay for the license for now. In any case since this is a non profit we have legal and ethical obligation to make right decisions.

Back to the tax refund, please suggest what you are willing to pay, and we will agree to a fair price from right here. Similarly what do think should be the membership fee?

Here is our initial suggestion, is this acceptable to you?

Tax filing (for members) - FREE
Tax filing (for non members) - $20

Membership fee (for full time student) - $45 a year
Membership fee (for non students) - $75 a year

We want free nepal to be a model organization, we want everything to be transparent, this is why we are trying to make this descison in public forum.
