hello all,
I have some questions if somebody has the prior experience please.

I have a green card through asylum, its been 4 year since i got greencard. I am wondering how long will it take to get the citizenship after I apply in next 9 month? i know i can apply in 4 year and 9 month , do not know how long it takes before i become citizen?

2. how long will it take to get the us passport?
3. can i freely go to nepal and come back to us once i become us citizen?
help will be apprecitaed. thanks.

its the date on you gc. no if else or but. that is the date they backdated one year to the date you applied for GC. So just follow that date and wait for 5 yrs to that date. You can apply 90 days before the 5 yr mark date.
passport takes abt 3 months and yes you can go to nepal but if you filed an asylum you are not supposed to and someone might give your information to homeland since you posted this here. So good luck!

I got my citizenship through asylum and have been Nepal once after I got it. I don't think there will be any problem, but do research.

my main concern is how long will it take to have citizen after i apply and how long will it take to get passport?thanks all for response.

Houston TX field office has current pricessing time of 8 months, so u can assume 6-10 months.

If you google n400 tracker, you can look at some of the cases for Houston district office. looking at the recent cases in tracker, its around 5-6 month.
